Bae Yong-joon, 'I need a wife at the moment!' (Interview)

"Now I really need a wife," said actor Bae Yong-joon (37) in the interview after he finishes his new book publication media conference held in Tokyo, Japan. 

-How do you feel after going to both promotion events for animation "Winter Sonata" and the media conference of your new book? 

"You know I often don't have too much confidence for what I'm doing but my family members always support me. This time they encourage me a lot as always." 

"Actually I thought I couldn't come to the event before because I fell so sick before the event in Japan which makes me so worried. To tell you the truth I even received the test for H1N1 flu but it turns out to be blood poisoning." 

-What do you think about your production 7 years ago will be produced as animation version? 

"When I was in hospital getting the treatment for my blood poisoning I was thinking a lot of things. One of them is how I stand here as an actor and how is my acting after all these years. Then I think I'm just an actor who loves culture and history so much and always apply them to the acting. Sometimes I really want to try some characters I like and insist trying all the character in my way." 

-It has been one year since you start writing the book and you even fell ill and went to hospital because you try too hard to work. Don't you think you just put too much pressure on yourself? 

"That is all because I'm not so smart. I always try my best for everything I do." 

-What do you think about the meeting with the wife of Japanese Prime Minister before the event? 

"We had some talk about the culture communication between Japan and Korea and I was really surprised that she speaks very good Korean!" 

-You are like the culture ambassador of Korea. Is it also the reason you want to write a book about Korean culture? 

"It was just always my dream to write a book about Korean culture. My friends always talk about that, too. This is not something that I just play with or just the interest for the moment. I actually planed this for a long time and finally got the chance to realize my dream." 

-The review of the book is quite good. You must feel so happy about that 

"Sure I'm very happy. I plan to take a break after I go back to Seoul. I'm not totally recovered from the blood poisoning disease. I'm still taking pills for that. I think my health is the most important thing for me now."

 -What do you think about your growing age? Normally that freaks out all the actors in show business.

 "Actually I was always hoping me get older since my 20th because I think people won't be afraid of anything when they arrive certain age. I never look back and have bad thoughts about aging I just look forward to the future and always enjoy now."

 -So can we guess when your possible wedding is?

 "I told the media 1 year and 3 month ago in Japan that I will get married after 3 years. My grandmother misunderstand that and thinks I said 3 months so after 3 months she always asks me why I still not get married. (Laugh) I never have the chance to meet someone I like so I'm still trying to make the opportunity to meet someone I really like."

 -What's your secret to be as young as 20-year-old boy when you arrive 30th?

 "There is nothing special. You just have to think positively and always be happy."
