L.A. Newspaper Introduces Daniel Henney to America

The Los Angeles Times newspaper has written a feature story on Daniel Henney, introducing the Korean-American actor and telling his story in last Sunday's entertainment section.
The paper gushed over Henney's good looks and told how he came to Korea from America and hit it big after appearing in TV commercials and soaps. According to the article, Henney became a star after just two years in Korea, despite his awkwardness with the language and local ways of expression, because he has stuck to roles that fit who he is -- "an Asian-looking American trying to navigate love and relationships in Korea."

The American-born actor told of his joy in watching his movie "Seducing Mr. Perfect" at a theater in L.A.'s Koreatown with his mother, and said he hoped to see more of his films in America.
Henney played his first dramatic role in the recent movie "My Father," the paper said, and he's looking forward to more challenges. "My Father" tells the story of an adopted child who comes to Korea in search of his parents and discovers that his father is a murderer living on death row.

Henney told the paper that a career in Hollywood isn't that important to him. "Maybe I'm not in a position to be picky, but I don't want to go in as an action star," he said, adding that he could be happy working in Asia only.
