Synopsis

The drama is about the third empress of the Goryeo era who fought against the Tungustic people of Manchuria in order to achieve their dream of reclaiming their old land.

The dates withen the production are not as up to snuff as one would want. Specifically, the events occur when Sung dynasty was in two entities. That is why you have enmity between Goryeans of that time and palce with Khitan counterparts,As well as Balhae counterparts. If it was during that time of Tang dyanasty, you would not see that ambiguity withKhitan forces, diplomatic stand offs and so on. That same real estate is under imperial Tang turf.
